Val is short for Valerie Nelson — an Artist, Illustrator, and Designer based in Rhode Island. She’s been painting pet portraits for the last 10 years or so while additionally working as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer. You can view her design work here.

All portraits are done in a mixture of watercolor and gouache paint on 300gsm watercolor paper. (Unless specifically requested otherwise).

Cost

8” x 8” Square: $110
Two pets in one: $130

4” x 6” Portrait: $90
Two pets in one: $110

Bundles

Two (2) 8” x 8” Pet Portraits: $170 total

Two (2) 4” x 6” Pet Portraits: $150 total

Costs in USD. These prices do not include shipping costs and the portraits do not include matting or framing.

I’m additionally always open for extra requests within the portraits (light flowers, specific colors, etc). Please attach photographs of the pet(s) in your request email in order to ensure a speedier process.

Turnaround time is about 1-2 weeks + shipping time (I will inform you if there is a longer waitlist).

Full Payment will be requested up front, and will be accepted through either Venmo, Cashapp, or Paypal. (Canadians: I also accept e-transfer in CAD).
